The burial chamber of Amenhotep II KV35, its walls decorated with scenes and texts from the Hours of the netherworld excerpts from the netherworld texts, is still dominated by the king’s elegant quartzite sarcophagus. The king’s mummy was found inside when the tomb was discovered in 1898 by Victor Loret.
