Associate of Applied Science - Occupational Therapy Assistant*
The Occupational Therapy Assistant program prepares graduates for
entry-level employment, working under the direction of an occupational
therapist. Students are trained to administer occupational therapy
treatments to individuals who have lost functional abilities due to
illness, injury, or disease. Coursework combines lecture, laboratory,
and clinical experiences. General Education elements of the program
enhance students' communication and problem-solving skills to enhance
their effectiveness in the occupational therapy profession.
The program prepares the graduate for the National Board for
Certification in Occupational Therapy (NBCOT) Certification
Examination for Occupational Therapy Assistants. Students develop a
solid foundation in occupational therapy, including: Anatomy and
physiology Medical terminology Structural kinesiology Neurological
dysfunction Mental health concepts and techniques Assessment of
function Adaptive living skills Physical rehabilitation Entry-level

Associate of Science - Accounting Technology
The accounting technology program generally prepares graduates for
entry-level employment in accounting positions in a variety of
business organizations. Students receive a solid foundation in
accounting and business principles, and general education. Entry-level
employment opportunities include accounting clerk, bookkeeping clerk,
payroll clerk, accounts receivable, accounts payable and auditing
clerk.
Upon successful completion of the program, students are able to:
- Post debits and credits
- Produce financial statements
- Prepare reports and summaries
- Prepare invoices
- Compute interest charges
- Generate financial spreadsheets
- Post journal transactions
- Handle payroll
- Produce business-related documents
- Operate a variety of computer software programs
Associate of Applied Science - Business Management
The Business Management program is designed to prepare graduates
for entry-level employment and the business field. Students have an
opportunity to receive a solid foundation in management principles and
business technology, computer operations, and general education.
Through a successful completion of the program, students will have
learned to: Manage a small business; manage a payroll; apply marketing
and advertising principles; produce presentation materials in
PowerPoint; generate spreadsheets; utilize human resource practices;
communicate effectively, orally and in writing; prepare written
reports; use the Internet to communicate with clients and co-workers.
Entry-level employment opportunities may exist in the areas of Office
Management. Sales, Administrative Assistant, Human Resources,
Assistant Account Representative, Customer Service Representative, and
Entrepreneur/Self-Employment.
Through a successful completion of the program, students learn to:

The office management program prepares students for entry-level
administrative positions and to use software products to provide
business support and solutions in an office setting. The program
includes general and business courses, including an introduction to
accounting and payroll, that round out the educational experience.
Bachelor's - Business Administration
Students in the business administration program gain the knowledge
and skills to enter a variety of fields in a business capacity or
advance in their current profession. Through general studies and
business-related coursework, graduates of this program have a
practical foundation of principles and procedures that they can put to
work in this ever-changing domain.
