RODALE INC.’S WOMEN’S HEALTH NAMES JACQUELINE AZRIA-PALOMBO FASHION DIRECTOR
New York (April 27,
2011)—Women’s Health, the women’slifestyle brand published by Rodale Inc., has named Jacqueline Azria-Palombo as
its new Fashion Director. The announcement was made today by Michele
Promaulayko, VP/Editor in Chief of Women’s
Health. Azria-Palombo will oversee
the fashion direction of the magazine and its ancillary products. She was most recently an independent stylist and
art director working with several clients including Women’s Health, Seventeen,
Redbook, Benetton, Garnett Hill and
Land’s End. Azria-Palombo will officially join the Women’s Health staff on May
9.
“Jacqueline brings
a vast amount of talent and experience to Women’s
Health,” said
Promaulayko. “Her understanding of and
enthusiasm for the brand will be a valuable asset as fashion continues to be an
integral part of Women’s Health’s
editorial mix.”
For the May issue, fashion/apparel pages are
up 184% (vs. May ’10) and year to date, fashion advertising in Women’s
Health is up 147% (vs. the same period last year). New advertisers include
– but are not limited to – Citizen, Lily of France, Old Navy, Saucony and
Vibram.
Prior to serving as an independent
consultant, Azria-Palombo was for 10 years with CosmoGIRL, which she joined in 1999 as Fashion Director before
being promoted to Creative Director in 2002. Previously, she was a Senior Stylist at Seventeen and a Fashion Editor at the
Paris-based Jeune et Jolie Magazine.
Azria-Palombo
received a First degree diploma at Paris II Assas Law School. She resides in
Manhattan.
