Mr Wilde A great book for accounting students, or for self-study in bookkeeping. Well laid out, good explanations and a great technique for learning double entry - simple yet comprehensive.

I am an accounting student and I happily recommend this book.

Laszlo K The book is clear and concise and everything seems well explained but this is somewhat marred by the typos and errors in the book. The exercises at the end of each chapter and their corresponding answers, far too often, do not match. Sometimes it is the amounts that do not match and other times it is the details where, for example, if the exercise says Smith, the answer may refer to Jones or any other random name that seemingly springs to the mind of the author. Considering the whole subject and its emphasis is based on care and accuracy, it really isn't good enough. The publishers really need to pull their socks up!

Laszlo K Really good textbook that makes learning accounting very easy. A strong visual layout, crystal clear explanations, a large number of examples and practice exercises make Frank Wood's Business Accounting 1 one of the best resources for anyone studying accounting either at university or with one of the professional bodies.
